Terms of Service
1. Who we are
PCNAppeal UK (pcnappeal.co.uk) is operated by [COMPANY NAME] Ltd (company no. [pending registration]), registered office [registered office address]. We are an independent private information service. We are not a law firm or solicitors, we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and we are not a government body, a parking operator, a trade association (BPA or IPC) or an appeals service (POPLA or IAS), nor affiliated with any of them.
2. What you are buying
The Private Parking Charge Appeal Pack (£9.99, one-off) is a digital document generated automatically by our rules engine from the facts you enter about a private parking charge: a list of possible appeal grounds with their sources, computed deadlines, an evidence checklist and template appeal letters. It is information, not legal advice. It does not create a solicitor–client relationship, it does not replace advice from a solicitor or Citizens Advice, and it does not deal with statutory penalty charge notices issued by councils or the police.
3. No promise of outcome
Appeals are decided by the parking operator and, at the second stage, by POPLA or the IAS on the evidence. We do not predict, promise or guarantee any outcome. The strength labels we show ("strong", "moderate", "weak") are our automated reading of the rules against the facts you gave us — they are not probabilities and they are not a professional opinion.
4. Your facts, your responsibility
The report is only as accurate as the facts you enter. You must check every statement in the letters before sending them and must not send anything untrue. Appeals services see the operator's photographs and records. We are not responsible for a rejected appeal, for missed deadlines, for costs added by an operator, or for any court claim.
5. Accuracy and limits
Our rules reflect the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4), the BPA/IPC Single Code of Practice, published case law and the appeals services' published guidance, as checked on the dates shown on our Sources page. The law, the Code and operator trade-body membership change; a government statutory code is expected. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the report, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Digital content and cancellation
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel. Because the report is digital content delivered immediately, at checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once delivery begins. If the report cannot be generated we refund in full. See our Refund Policy.
7. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We never see or store your card details. Prices include VAT where applicable; a receipt is emailed by Stripe.
8. Acceptable use
Personal use for the parking charge you entered. No scraping, resale of output, or automated bulk generation without a written agreement.
9. Intellectual property
Report layout, rules engine and template text are ours. Legislation is Crown copyright used under the Open Government Licence v3.0; the Code of Practice is published by the BPA and IPC and is quoted for information.
10. Governing law
England and Wales. You may also bring proceedings in your home nation of the UK. Complaints: support@pcnappeal.co.uk. If unresolved you may use the Citizens Advice consumer service.
